Awards

SEMPA sponsors two awards, the Paul S. Robinson Award and the SEMPA 360 Award.

The Paul S. Robinson Award is in honor of Paul S. Robinson, PA-C – a long-time colleague, enduring supporter and admired leader. SEMPA’s goal is to select an award recipient who exemplifies the character, integrity and dedication to emergency medicine, leadership and professionalism that Mr. Robinson exemplified.

The Paul S. Robinson Award is $2,000 for education.

The SEMPA 360 Award intends to recognize service to the Society and commitment to the education of emergency medicine physician assistants. The Board of Directors has established this annual award to recognize service to the PA profession and commitment to the education of emergency medicine physician assistants.

The award will include one (1) complimentary conference registration (does not include optional workshops) for the annual conference in the year the receipt is recognized along with $1,000 travel stipend.

More information can be found on SEMPA 360 Award page.

SEMPA also offers the SEMPA Students for EMPA Practice Educational Award, which is underwritten by CEP America.

The specialty of emergency medicine plays a pivotal role in the nation’s healthcare system. SEMPA believes that PA students are key to the continued growth and strength of the specialty. As such, SEMPA teamed up with CEP America, who has a long history of building relationships with PA students interested in EM through preceptorships and continuing education programs, to offer the SEMPA Students for EMPA Practice Educational Award.

CEP America has generously underwritten two $1,000 SEMPA educational awards. More information can be found on the SEMPA Students for EMPA Practice Educational Award page.
