MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Fellow: An Emergency Medicine Physician assistant who graduated from an ARC-PA Accredited PA Program and is currently working in Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care.  Only Fellows have the privilege to vote and hold office.

Associate: Physician assistant who is a graduate of an educational program and/or certified by an agency approved by the Board of Directors.  Associates shall be eligible to have full voting rights.

Affiliate: A non-PA / non-health care practitioner who desires to an affiliate with the Society.  Affiliates shall be entitled to privileges of the floor, but shall not be entitled to vote or hold office.

Student: A student enrolled in a Board of Directors' approved PA program with an interest in emergency medicine. Student members shall be entitled to privileges of the floor but shall not be entitled to vote. Dues $25 for duration of professional PA program (if less than one year until expected graduation, student member will receive one full membership year at the student rate).

Post Graduate Student: A PA-C enrolled in a post graduate emergency medicine program recognized by the SEMPA Board of Directors. Post graduate student members shall be entitled to privileges of the floor and can vote but shall not be able to hold office. Dues: $75 for duration of professional PA program (if less than one year until expected graduation, post graduate student member will receive one full member year at the post graduate student rate).
