Inception Date: 2011
Curriculum: The Albany Medical Center (AMC) Physician Assistant Postgraduate Fellowship in Emergency Medicine will provide an intense, well-rounded 12 months of clinical and didactic training to facilitate a successful career as an emergency medicine physician assistant. Fellows will not only have their core training in emergency medicine, but will also have the opportunity to rotate through many sub-specialty clinical rotations. Upon completion of this program, the EMPA fellow will have the knowledge and skills necessary to make them a successful practitioner of emergency medicine in any clinical setting. Fellows attend weekly conference, simulation lab training, cadaver lab sessions, monthly Journal Club, and attend a national and local conference as well as Toxicology Teaching Day Conference.
Program Length: 12 months
Class Size: 5 fellows
Class start dates: August (flexible) and October (flexible)
Credential: Certificate and BLS, ACLS, PALS and ATLS Certifications
