NYU Langone Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Fellowship

Inception Date: 9/2017

Curriculum: The didactic component of our curriculum includes weekly attendance at our residents' EM conference (4h) as well as dedicated time with the EMPA leadership and mentoring team (3h). Fellows attend morning report as well as Grand Rounds, both in our department and in the departments they rotate through. Our fellows spend about 10 hours in SIM training a month. They also attend our departmental Lunch and Learn once a month and present at each of these forums. Fellows are currently working on scholarly research for presentation at national conferences and publication in journals.

Clinical Rotations:

  • Emergency Medicine - 35 weeks 
  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine - 10 weeks 
  • Intensive Care - 12 weeks 
  • Orthopedics - 4 weeks  
  • Anesthesia - 2 weeks 
  • Ultrasound - 4 weeks
  • Toxicology – 4 weeks
  • Trauma – 4 weeks  
  • Vacation - 6 weeks 

Program Length: 18 months

Stipend: $70,000/year

Benefits: Full time PA benefits. Medical, Dental, LTD, 401K

CME: $1,500/year to national conferences and/or certification courses
