VA Physician Assistant Residency in Emergency Medicine

Program Description: The VA Physician Assistant Residency in Emergency Medicine is a 12-month intensive program for certified PA’s. This program provides structured clinical and didactic training in emergency medicine with a focus on geriatric patients in a mid-size ED setting. It also offers training in community ED settings through our academic affiliate, clinical rotations in relevant medical and surgical specialties and a focused POCUS curriculum.

Curriculum: ED clinic shifts with 1-2 specialty rotations. Weekly didactic sessions. Monthly US video review.

Clinical Rotations: Emergency medicine, US, SICU, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Dental, Radiology, anesthesia

Program Length: 12 months

St. Luke's Hospital Emergency Medicine PA Postgraduate Fellowship

Program Description: St Luke's is a teaching facility with affiliation with Temple School of Medicine

USACS APP Postgraduate Program 

Program Description: The postgraduate medical training program will prepare the participating advanced practice provider (APP) for practice in emergency medicine. Clinical and didactic education will focus on teaching the fundamental skills, knowledge, and humanistic qualities that are required for effective emergency medicine practice.

Curriculum: In conjunction with the medical resident's program the APP Postgraduates will receive weekly medical lectures in addition to case-based medical discussions as a group.

Class Size: 4 physician assistant postgraduates per year
