Enjoy a day at the races by experiencing the exciting and colorful spectacle of Thoroughbred racing at the legendary Churchill Downs. In 1875, Churchill Downs officially opened its gates in Louisville, and began its tradition as "Home of the Kentucky Derby," which is now the longest continually running sporting event in America. You can also visit the Kentucky Derby Museum located just steps from the racetrack.

Bourbon Trail
No one is more famous for Bourbon than Louisville, KY! There are seven bourbon attractions within walking distance of the downtown convention center and more than 40 stops to try on the Bourbon Trail, which will have you sipping Kentucky’s finest at local establishments, each stocked with at least 60 different bourbons. And don’t forget to try Louisville’s official cocktail, the Old Fashioned.

Louisville is known as the “City of Parks” for good reason. Louisville's park system is one of only five such systems across the country and was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the “Father of American Landscape Architecture” and designer of New York's Central Park.
